NGO Federation of Nepalese Indigenous Nationalities (NGO-FONIN) and Federation of Indigenous Kirat Association (FIKA) jointly organized a one-day interaction on “New Constitution and Kiratee’s Issue” on 8th March 2010. The purpose of the interaction was to discuss on state restructure and Kiratees’ issues, which is whether properly being addressed by the new constitution or not and to build consensus about the issues among Kiratee groups, so that collective opinion/suggestions could be made to the concerned. In the program, four separate concept papers on state restructuring, Kiratee’s issues including existing situation update were presented and discussed. The interaction program was concluded with the consensus of continuing similar interactions will all concerns and feed to Constitution Assembly on time. A total of 75 participants from various Kiratee groups, CA members took part in the interaction.
